The Cuero Turkeyfest Association invites you to be a part of the 52nd Annual Cuero Turkeyfest Celebration on October 11th, 12th & 13th and we want you to help us celebrate!
We cordially invite you to take part in the festivities by participating in our Annual Parade. THERE
IS NO FEE TO ENTER THE PARADE, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 12th at 11:00 AM.
All entries in the Turkeyfest Parade must be decorated to be able to participate, this however excludes car clubs. Judging of the entries will begin at 9:30 AM and all entries are asked to be in their designated position at that time. Awards will be given in several categories before the parade.
Entry numbers will be assigned upon your arrival Saturday morning, October 12th. “Start Point” will be at the intersection of East South Railroad and Esplanade Streets (next to the railroad crossing).
In order to accomplish our goal of making the Turkeyfest Parade a success and give proper recognition to all participants, we ask that you fill out the information on the form below as soon as possible. email admin@cuero.org for any questions or concerns. This information will make it possible for us to have a complete count of our entries, and for the parade announcer to give a public announcement of your entry as it passes the Announcer’s Platform. Please keep description to less than 60 words or less.
8:00 AM Line-up Begins, intersection of East South Railroad & Esplanade
9:30 AM Judging starts & Awards will be given out as the parade begins.
10:30 AM The Great Gobbler Gallop starts.
11:00 AM Parade will begin.
***Parade Route - Travel North down Esplanade, turn right at McDonald’s, ends on McLeod St.

Wild turkeys can fly for short distances up to 55 miles per hour. They can run as fast as 20 miles per hour. Commercially raised turkeys cannot fly.
